Words that light the soul and guide the heart ﷺ
Way back in 2012, I have come across a book by Michal H. Hart "The Hundred" and I literally feel that the non Muslim author is paying homage to Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him.
In this book he has shed light on 100 influencing personalities from history of mankind who have left the impact on societies.
In the book "The 100" a ranking of the most influential persons in history by Michael H. Hart, Prophet Muhammad ﷺ is placed first on the list of the most influential people in human history.
As per the author, "My choice of Muhammad to lead the list of the world's most influential persons may surprise some readers and may be questioned by others, but he was the only man in history who was supremely successful on both the religious and secular levels.”
Hart explains that the Prophet ﷺ not only founded one of the great religions of the world but also established a powerful and unified political state. He highlights that within a short span of time, Muhammad ﷺ transformed Arabia from a region of warring tribes into a disciplined, moral, and just society.
Hart also emphasizes that the influence of the Prophet ﷺ has continued to grow over centuries, shaping billions of lives and guiding entire civilizations. He notes that unlike Jesus or Buddha, whose teachings were spread largely by others, Prophet Muhammad ﷺ himself played the "central role" in both religious revelation and political leadership.
It is this unparalleled combination of secular and religious influence,” Hart concludes, “which entitles Prophet Muhammad to be considered the most influential single figure in human history.
